Dr. Jodi Thomas is a board-certified physiatrist (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) with a passion for helping people recover from spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions. She earned her medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed her residency at New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Thomas has been in practice for over 20 years and specializes in spinal cord injury medicine. Before starting her own clinic, she worked extensively with veterans recovering from spinal cord injuries, as well as athletes and others facing chronic neurological challenges.

In addition to her rehab expertise, Dr. Thomas has advanced training in lifestyle and functional medicine. She is certified in acupuncture and uses integrative techniques to complement therapy. Her breadth of experience – from acute care to outpatient rehab – means she understands the full spectrum of recovery. Patients often remark on her compassionate listening and collaborative approach. As one testimonial notes, "She is a wealth of knowledge... I am pain free and have more energy."

Our Philosophy

At the heart of Dr. Thomas's practice is a belief in whole-person healing. She emphasizes that your body can recover without relying solely on medications. Every treatment plan is customized: we work with you to set realistic goals and choose therapies that fit your needs and lifestyle. Education and empowerment are key – we'll help you and your family understand your condition and the steps to improve it. Our mission is to restore function and confidence: whether it's walking a few more steps, returning to work, or simply enjoying daily life, we focus on what matters most to you.

"Our goal is your optimal function," says Dr. Thomas. Through one-on-one attention and a supportive atmosphere, we strive to maximize your mobility and independence. We use adaptive equipment, exercises, and supportive counseling to address not just the physical, but the emotional aspects of recovery.
